The HAT had its first outing in the USA in earlier this month, as HAT PI Irene Ng and fellow researchers visited the Silicon Valley in California.
On Friday July 10, Irene introduced the HAT at the 24th Annual Frontiers in Service Conference during her presentation as a discussant to Cisco Services Vice President Pankaj Srivastava in the conference’s first plenary session. The presentation entitled The Internet of Everything and the Future of Service can be viewed here:
The 1st USA Mad Hatters Tea Party was also held in the Silicon Valley, at Santa Clara, California, on Monday July 13. Hosted by the International Society of Service Innovation Professionals (ISSIP) Executive Leadership Team, and sponsored by San Jose State University Lucas Graduate School of Business and IBM, the event introduced the HAT to an enthusiastic group of tech start-ups and academics.
